Ford is giving its next-generation Explorer a full rating on fuel efficiency, emissions and CO2 emissions from the previous model, the 2020 Explorer, CBS News reports.
Ford will be showing the 2017 model on Oct. 18 in New York City at the company’s unveiling of the new 2019 Ford Explorer, the company announced Monday.
Ford CEO Mark Fields says the new Explorer “has all the performance, all the power and all the excitement you’ve come to expect from the Ford brand.”
“Ford Explorer 2020 is a great vehicle that delivers great value and a more affordable price for today’s family and drivers,” Fields said in a statement.
The 2019 Ford Expedition, which is also coming to market, is a less-expensive alternative to the 2020 Expedition, but Ford said the new vehicle will offer the same fuel economy and emissions ratings.
